How to Report Positive at Home COVID-19 Testing Results

If you test positive using an at-home test, we encourage you to follow the step-by-step instructions on the Maryland COVID Positive At-Home Test Report Portal website to report your result to the Maryland Department of Health.

You can report your positive test results either through the mobile app associated with your at-home test, or through the Maryland COVID Positive At-Home Test Report Portal. Log in on the portal’s home page to submit a report. If you do not have login information, you may register to create an account.

Reporting positive results through the At-Home Test Report Portal will initiate the contact tracing process, which is required to receive work or school excuse and release letters. You will also receive a MD COVID Alert verification code and additional guidance and resources.

The portal only accepts recent positive at-home test results for Maryland residents.

Free over-the-counter testing kits are now available from the federal government. Any household can request 8 testing kits from covid.gov/tests, and they will be shipped directly to your house. Even if you've requested tests before, this new round of available tests is open to everyone.

The Charles County Department of Health in collaboration with the Charles County Public Library is offering the iHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid test kits to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The testing kits include two tests per box. Each family can receive six boxes per household. The test kits are available at each library branch for in-person and curbside pick-up while supplies last.

(Testing kits are delivered to the libraries weekly depending on shipment arrival. Home testing kits are limited. Please call before arriving at the library.)
